I think I mentioned in an earlier post that immediately post Sandy I asked for drawing prompts from my facebook friends. They (unsurprisingly) came through with some really terrific suggestions. I drew them all really quickly, and I’ve been rolling out finished versions of some of my favorites.

This one might be my favorite. The prompt was, “Horseback riding through zombie NYC”. I’m selling them all off and donating the proceeds to Sandy relief. This one has already sold (yay!).

Oh, this was my absolute favorite growing up! I had (actually, still have) the hardcover of the Tasha Tudor illustrated version. Such a huge influence on me!

In the aftermath of the storm, I asked my friends for drawing prompts via facebook. This was one of my favorites:

A half-dozen or so Frankenstein scientists collaborating to create a super-monster.

Yesterday on facebook, I asked my friends for drawing prompts. I finished the first batch (I finished inking the first batch, anyway, I want to watercolor a couple of them at least). 

This is the first. “PT Barnum presenting Jumbo the Elephant and Tom Thumb simultaneously.”

Storm drawing. I started working on this with Sandy whooshing outside and Travis napping and Basil Rathbone reading Poe on my ipod.

This seems like it was a million years ago. Last Friday, the lovely Jody Christopherson in Eschaton Cabaret at Dixon Place. Dancing. Enciente.
