This is so hilarious, I don’t even know.
A collection of Emily Dickinson’s poems was the first book I ever bought with my own money. It was a Barnes & Noble edition. I was 8 or 9. Somehow I thought the idea of her keeping away in her father’s house, writing poetry, and wandering around wearing white was sort of romantic. Gawd. lol

Last night at the Bowery Poets Club, NYCThey had one poet reading after another for hours.I sat there drinking beer and drawing each of them.I was kind of more focused on drawing than listening. So sorry if I misquote you, poets.

Cartoon drawn after seeing Employee’s Entrance (1932), starring Warren William, Loretta Young & Alice White.
Saw this last night as the bottom half of a Warren William Double feature at Film Forum’s Essential Pre-Code festival. It was completely enjoyable! I say we all lobby to get more of the early pre-code talkies on video, as it’s such a shame so many of them are completely unavailable.
